Through our research, we try to keep on top of new innovations for use in our future products. As an R&D engineer at Pozyx, you will manage several research projects within the company. You will not only manage these projects but also work on them together with the rest of the engineering team. Your main goal will be to set up demonstrators or proof of concepts for novel hardware components, protocols or algorithms. Through a series of tests and measurements you will characterize the behavior and the performance of these innovations and provide this input to the product team when defining the next generation of products and features.
For this position, we are looking for a hands-on experienced engineer to define a wide variety of tests (both indoor and outdoor) of the Pozyx positioning system, or parts of that system. The various test setups will comprise several electronic measurement systems, actuators or robots which need to be automated to perform reliable, repeatable and efficient tests. Tests include measuring the positioning accuracy, radio range, antenna pattern, device power consumption, wireless signal packet loss and more. For this you will work in the different Pozyx test labs such as the anechoic chamber and use the prototype lab to 3D-print objects or build fixtures for your tests.

Manage several research projects with external innovation or academic organizations or consortia.
Manage project reports and associated project deliverables.
Define tests scenarios and the desired test metrics.
Use scripting to integrate with different test equipment such as a spectrum analyzer, digital multimeter, rotator, and more.
Build the test setups and perform the tests (or organize it through interim employees).
Process test results and provide test and performance reports.
Analyze test results and extract theoretical models that match the measurements.
Degree in Electronic engineering or similar.
Knowledge of Python, Matlab or other scripting languages.
Solid knowledge of statistics and statistical modelling.
Experience in wireless and wired networking. (CCNA or similar certificate is a plus)
Knowledge of embedded C is a bonus.
You can work independently and handle responsibility well.
